Straight answers.

What people usually ask before the first email.

Something else? Let’s talk →
M01What is Low Tide Stories?

Low Tide Stories is an AI creative direction and video production studio. It makes AI commercials, brand films, product videos, consistent AI characters and logo animations for brands, businesses and agencies worldwide, from the first idea to the final cut.

M02Who’s behind Low Tide?

Álvaro Grillo, a filmmaker and editor from Andalusia, Spain, with more than five years making videos for brands and professionals in over 14 industries. He directs every piece from the first idea to the final cut. Read his story.

M03What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Any business that needs powerful videos and images to drive its sales: brands, local businesses, professionals and agencies.

M04Will it look AI-generated?

Not if it’s well directed. Every shot is approved as a still before it moves, and most of what gets generated never reaches the edit: for The Pirate’s Law, 35 stills became 5 and 17 takes became 3. Rhythm, color and sound are then decided shot by shot in DaVinci Resolve.

M05How is this different from using an AI app myself?

An app gives you takes. A commercial needs an idea, a script, references, dozens of discarded attempts and an edit. Here every piece has a director who takes it from idea to edit, approves every shot as a still before it moves and keeps only what works: for Riders on the Storm, 33 stills out of 234.

M06Do AI ads actually work?

When they’re directed, yes. A May 2026 Ipsos study of 20 ads and 3,000 US consumers found human-made ads 14% stronger on short-term impact and 17% stronger on brand. The gap was emotion and story: the AI-generated ads told a story only 30% of the time, against 49% for ads in general. That’s what direction adds: a person decides the idea, the story and the edit.

M07How long does a project take?

From 2 to 3 working days for a logo or still animation, 7 to 10 for a commercial and 2 to 3 weeks for a brand film, counting from when you approve the board. Got a hard deadline? Mention it in the first email.

M08How much does an AI video or commercial cost?

Every project gets a fixed quote before any work starts, with scope, revision rounds and delivery date. The price depends on the length, the number of shots and how much has to be built from scratch, so there’s no public price list. A logo animation is the smallest job; a brand film, the biggest. A short email or a quick call is enough to get yours.

M09Who owns the rights? Can AI video be copyrighted?

You get full commercial use of the final video: every channel, paid ads included, worldwide and with no expiry. Low Tide only works with tools whose terms allow commercial use of what they generate, and that use passes to you in full. Purely AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright, and the rules vary by country: that’s the honest limit.

M10Are AI ads legal? Do I need to label them?

Yes, as long as they follow the same rules as any other ad, and often they need a label. In the EU, realistic AI-generated content must be disclosed since 2 August 2026 (AI Act, Art. 50), New York requires disclosure for synthetic performers in ads, and YouTube, TikTok and Meta have their own labels. Every piece is delivered ready to label. (This isn’t legal advice.)

M11How many revisions are included?

Two rounds on the final cut. Most changes happen earlier, at the board and keyframe stage, where they’re quick. Extra rounds are quoted separately.

M12Will my product look exactly like the real one?

That’s the goal. The work starts from photos of your real product, and you approve every keyframe before it moves. Small print and fine labels are the hardest thing for AI to hold, so the shots are planned around them from the start.

M13What is an AI influencer, and can my brand have its own?

An AI influencer is a character created with AI that keeps the same face and style everywhere: in campaigns, in ads or on its own social profile. Your brand can have its own, designed from scratch, locked in a visual bible and wearing your real products, from clothing to jewelry. Coddy and Joe are two examples.

M14Can you keep the same character across a whole campaign?

Yes. Each character gets a visual bible with its face, style and wardrobe, and every shot is built from it, so the same face holds from the first post to the last. Coddy and Joe are two examples.

M15Can you mix AI with our real footage?

Yes. It’s the hybrid format: your footage leads, and 3 to 5 AI-generated shots add what you couldn’t film.

M16What do you need from me?

A short brief: what it’s for, who it’s for, where it will run and when. Plus your logo, brand guidelines and clear photos of any product from several angles. References you love are welcome: they become part of the board.

M17Do you sign NDAs or work white-label for agencies?

Yes to both. Agencies are welcome, including white-label work that goes out under the agency’s name.

M18How do payments and invoices work?

50% to start and 50% on delivery, by bank transfer. Invoices are issued in euros from Spain by a registered freelancer; whether VAT applies depends on where your company is based.

M19Do you work with clients outside Spain?

Yes. Low Tide works remotely, in English and Spanish, with clients in Spain and abroad. Spain (CET/CEST) is one hour ahead of London and six ahead of New York, so working hours overlap with UK and EU working days and with US East Coast mornings.

M20Which tools do you use?

Higgsfield with Seedance, Kling and Nano Banana Pro for images and video, AI voice when the project needs it, and DaVinci Resolve for editing, color and sound. The tools change every month; the method stays.
